This month, I’d like to share a simple checklist I use with some of the most important things to check as you settle back into your home for the season.
SERVICES TO SCHEDULE
☐ HVAC & water system maintenance
☐ Professional home cleaning
☐ Window & patio cleaning, especially after monsoon season
☐ Outdoor living systems: grill, heaters & misters
CHECK & RESET
☐ Water heater and thermostat settings
☐ Vehicles & golf carts
☐ Internet & security systems ☐ Fridge & pantry for expired items
☐ Clocks & timers, including landscape timers that may have reset during summer storms
RESTOCK
☐ Water softener salt
☐ Groceries & beverages
☐ Household essentials
And of course, make sure that first tee time is on the calendar!
October is such a special time at Desert Mountain. The weather is finally beginning to cool, familiar faces are returning, and before we know it, the holidays will be here. It’s the start of a season filled with beautiful weather, time with family and friends, and all the things we love about being back on the Mountain. I hope this checklist helps make settling back in a little easier, so you can spend more time enjoying what’s ahead.
